Long yellow noodles sleep in a swirl of soup.

My chopsticks rest on the napkin, clean and straight, waiting for me.

我的筷子安安静静躺在餐巾纸上，干干净净，等着我。

I lift the noodles up high — up, up, up — a noodle waterfall!

我把面条高高挑起来——高些，再高些——面条小瀑布！

Sluuurp! That is the sound of a very good lunch.

唏律律！这就是一顿特别棒的午餐的声音。

A splash or two lands on my apron — my badge of honor.
